Solarshield have successfully completed the replacement of existing anti shatter film to the glazing of the prestigious London Head Office of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Bishopsgate, Central London.
The Department of Energy & Climate Change selected Solarshield to install solar control window film to the perimeter windows on the South & East Elevations, to reduce solar heat gain & Help improve Energy efficiency.

Honda F1 Team turn to Solarshield for view controlHonda, the world's largest engine manufacturer & international motor racing team, asked Solarshield to supply and fit a view control film at their new Experience Centre in Brackley. Honda required a view control film that would keep a steady flow of visitor traffic moving past the full-scale wind tunnel project, whilst enhancing and highlighting particular points of interest within the eye-catching display.
A Dynamic & Inexpensive Solution to Glass Identifications Regulation 14 of the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Act exists to protect anyone working or spending time near lass from injury by broken glass, whether accidental, impact, vandalism or even terrorist attack.
Solar Shield has completed the application of combined solar & security film to John Lewis Plc Head Office in London. The film provides bomb blast protection, cuts down the sun’s heat, the sun’s glare, and also reduces energy costs by lowering the duty on the air conditioning, thus reducing fuel bills. It also reduced the UV by at least 99% so reducing fading to items in front of the glazing.
Solarshield reduce the risks associated with overhead glazing at De La Rue! De La Rue, the world 's largest commercial security printer and papermaker requested the services of Solarshield at their offices in Basingstoke when an existing overhead glass pane shattered and fell from its frame, in a suspected case of spontaneous glass fracture thought to be caused by nichol sulphide inclusions.
2010 saw the opening of the EXTENDED Business & Intellectual Property Centre at the British Library, a resource centre for entrepreneurs. Traditional reading rooms were remodelled and transformed into an impressive suite of modern meeting rooms with state-of-the-art facilities. An important part of the design was to provide controlled privacy for people working in the meeting rooms.
