John Lewis

Solar Shield has completed the application of combined solar & security film to John Lewis Plc Head Office in London. The film provides bomb blast protection, cuts down the sun’s heat, the sun’s glare, and also reduces energy costs by lowering the duty on the air conditioning, thus reducing fuel bills. It also reduced the UV by at least 99% so reducing fading to items in front of the glazing.

The installation was carried out with minimal disruption by 2 teams of fitters over a 14-week period.

The film has a manufacturer’s underwritten 10 Year Warranty

Tested to BS EN 12600 Class 1B1 (formerly BS6206 Class A).
