Dichroic Colour Changing Window Film

Location:

Central London

Application:

The new Morgan Stanley, Mittal Children's Medical Centre was part of a plan to redevelop and modernise Great Ormond Street Hospital, increasing patient capacity by over a quarter.

The building designers wanted to transform the facade of the building by adding more colour having received feedback that the facade did not have the 'Wow Factor' and should be bright and bold. Solarshield were asked to carry out the supply and installation of the final barcode design using 3M Dischroic colour change window film, which transformed the facade into an eye-catching display of colour.

Dichroic window film is a material that filters and reflects wavelengths of light producing a huge variety of rainbow coloured shadows and projections.

Solarshield supplied and installed the window film on site. The installation of Dichroic window film adds an exciting dimension to the new facade, reflecting light and colour into, and across the building.
